A one and a half year event in the making, we are reviving the JIU-JITSU scene in the Philippines and conquering all the challenges amidst the COVID-19 with EMERGENCE The Re-Emergence of Jiu Jitsu.
Reigniting the burning passion of all jiu-jitsu fans in the country, @flipsportsph stages the much-awaited comeback of the sport. Featuring PH’s top jiu-jitsu athletes, it truly marks the “re-emergence” of Philippine jiu-jitsu after its long absence because of the pandemic. Expect fierce competition and thrilling match-ups that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Whatever noise this event will create is going to help the coming times of these athletes. We hope that the event would grant them more exposure and sponsors. We also hope it would inspire practitioners to train more, be an inspiration to kids, those people who want to try jiu-jitsu and for those who don’t have sports yet.
EMERGENCE is made possible by a truly persistent team consisting of the project manager Ridge Aguilar (@ridge_aguilar), tournament director Gerard Gallos (@gerardwarlord ) who made all matches possible, and producer JP Sacaben (@jpsacaben), who brought us both worlds together jiu-jitsu and music. Together, with their respective team gave us this eye-catching event.
